It was a clear night on the first of April, 1997.
Outside my window at home in Philadelphia was this apparition, a veritable
Heaven's Gate.
So, I got out my toys.
This includes a 60 millimeter 22 power (wide angle) Bushnel SpaceMaster scope, a Connectix Quick Cam, and a 33 MHz 386 PC running Linux. This provides 320 by 240 pixel images with 6 bits of gray. It is attached to the computer via the parallel port. |
