Get the FTP Software (some Internet Providers do not need this)

• Go to www.tucows.com

• Select USA Region

• pick Windows 95/98 programs

• Section Network Tools -

  click on FTP and Archie
  

• Scroll down to LeechFTP - it is FREE

• Click the “Try Now” button

It would be good to find out how your internet provider allows you to “upload” your web page to the space that is provided. In some cases, you must contact them first, so they can make the space available to you. This can take a day or two, but can also be done in a few minutes. It all depends upon if their technical support staff with the right knowledge is working at the the time that you send your request in.

While we are on the internet, we might as well get the FTP tool, if it is needed.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. That is just fancy words for “the thing that move files from one computer to the next.”

We will cover this part in more detail later.
